Butte
State Bank in Butte, Nebraska is located in North Central Nebraska
between the Missouri, Niobrara and Keya Paha rivers. We pride our

November 29, 1943, A P Andersen was elected President of The Butte
State Bank. On Dec. 27, 1943, The Articles of Incorporation of Butte
State Bank were filed in The Office of the Dept of Banking of The
State Of Nebraska at Lincoln, Ne. The records of said Office show
that said Articles of Incorporation were approved on the 27th Day
of December 1943.
On August 1, 1963, Joe G Brewster was elected to The Board of Directors
and also elected President of Butte State Bank and Dennis G Brewster
was elected to The Board of Directors. In October of 1963, Dennis
G Brewster was elected Vice President of The Butte State Bank.
The 20th Anniversary of Butte State Bank was celebrated with an
Open House on Oct. 10, 64.
The addition of a Savings Account was started January 1, 1965,
Interest checking was made available to the customer in 1980, and
the Debit card in 1981.
Moving day to the new bank was in June of 1969. In the early days
of 1979, the addition of more space to the bank was planned and
then again in 1991, another addition was started, doubling our space
to it's current size.
The 50th Anniversary of Butte State Bank was held on June 12, 1994.
Dennis G Brewster retired as President of Butte State Bank in 2000,
and his Son, Craig G. Brewster is now our President.
